For the second time, the University of Venda partners with Mukonazwothe Career Support Group through a Career Guidance and Exhibition aimed at assisting learners.
The University of Venda has partnered with Mukonazwothe Career Support Group (Mukona Foundation) (NPO 261-914) to host the second week-long Career Guidance and Exhibition from 21 to 25April 2025. The event targets grade 9 learners from the Vhembe District in Limpopo province. The exhibition empowers learners by equipping them with critical information and guidance that is necessary to make informed subject choices and outlines clear career pathways.
In recognition of the significance of the event, the University of Venda will host this career guidance. “By fostering this partnership, we aim to contribute meaningfully to future leaders’ careers and academic development, ultimately adding value to their education and long-term career aspirations,” said Dr.
Takalani Dzaga-APR, the university’s Director of Marketing, Branding and Communication.
Mukonazwothe Career Support Group will also be responsible for the coordinating the career guidance and exhibition. “We hope to impact the 1000 different learners attending each day with soft skills, understanding workplace dynamics, and increased confidence in career readiness as we appeal to corporate and other institutions of strategic relevance to partner with us to change the life of a
rural child,” said Mr. Aubrey Matsila, Director of Mukona Foundation.
The Limpopo Department of Education will assist with the provision of 5,000 learners from eighteen circuits in the district. It will also provide necessary support to facilitate learners’ engagement and success.
